Construction Worker Injured By Distracted Driver

Friday, May 16, 2014

On May 13, 2014, another construction work suffered serious injuries after being hit by a motor vehicle on M-14, pursuant to Michigan State Police.  It is a shame that our very hard-working construction workers cannot feel safe while out doing their job because of some individual’s inability to keep their eyes on the road.  According to the State Police, there were signs out stating that worker’s were in the area.  Not jumping to conclusions, but people need to stop texting while driving, says Wendy Schiller-Nichols.  Ms. Schiller-Nichols learned of this unfortunate car accident on M-14 when a person she knows told her she “saw the whole thing” happen.

This accident is similar to a case I had several years ago, says Wendy Schiller-Nichols.  Ms. Schiller-Nichols was able to help the family through the legal system and was able to procure a nice settlement.  That case dealt with a drunk driver who hit Ms. Schiller-Nichols’ client in a construction zone and caused traumatic brain injury to her client.  A very sad case, says Wendy Schiller-Nichols.
